Update
So we had to go to an on-call pediatric office today just to get Hayden's weight and thankfully she was back up to 8 lbs 7 oz which is almost her birth weight (8lbs 9 oz). However, her jaundice seemed to be a little worse so we had to take her to the hospital for another heel prick. Her bilirubin was 16.1 mg/dL and at 20 mg/dL treatment is required. Due to her hematoma (which is causing the jaundice) I have to take her back to our pediatrician tomorrow.

ReplyDeleteEm was under two lights for about 2 days in NICU. If you do have to do treatment, you might get a light blanket. Then, Miss. Hayden will look like a glow worm!

PS- This sounds silly but babies with a little jaundice have the prettiest skin, don't they? It makes them look like they have a tan! Looking on the bright side for you! :-)
It'll get straighted up soon! Yay for the weight gain!
